Although Evelyn was born and initially raised at Bella Vista, she now resides with and is trained by Jen Nowak. She shares Jen with Jim (Jen’s husband) and Empress a mixed breed. Although Evelyn spent most of her first year at Bella Vista, she had no problem adjusting to life with the Nowaks. Jen began training Evelyn at 12 weeks and took her for many overnight visits until Jen was able to relocate into a larger home. Jen and Evelyn are training in obedience, tracking, rally, earthdog and agility. On her 1st birthday , Evelyn earned her first title-the Puppy Level APDT Rally Obedience Title. She has also earned her AKC Rally Novice and APDT Level 1 Titles. She has also passed the evaluation by Therapy Dog Incorporated to do pet therapy work. The picture is of her and Jen earning a Q in Rally Obedience under Judge, Cindi Nicotera. In addition to all the performance dog sports, Evelyn has also been shown in the AKC & UKC breed ring . In November, Evelyn was bred to CH Dawn’s Up N’ The Ante TD, JE, RE. If all goes as planned, puppies will be born at the end of January. |
