Cuss was one of the
puppies in one of the largest litters produced at Bella Vista. He
was the smallest of the 6 puppies and needed to be supplemented. He
was a handful from the beginning—crying whenever we took him away
from his mother to feed him. He got his name because we would tell
him “stop swearing” and then it became “stop cussing”. Needless to
say, the “Cuss” stuck!
Cuss is both an AKC (American Kennel Club) and UKC (United Kennel
Club) Champion. In AKC, Cuss earned all of his championship points
from the Bred-By Exhibitor Class and as a result was invited to
participate in the AKC Nationals Bred-By Exhibitor Competition in
2006. In 2007 & 2008, Cuss earned a top 5 ranking in breed with the
UKC. Cuss is a very showy boy, with lots of ring attitude. His
heavy bone, compact structure and large head add to his appeal. In
fact, he will bark in the ring if he gets bored or feels that
everyone needs to notice him!
A natural hunter, Cuss is currently working on completing the
requirements to earn the AKC Master Earthdog Title. Once he gets to
the quarry (rats!), he is a steady worker with a very loud bark!
Cuss participates in AKC, UKC, Teacup Dog Agility Association (TDAA)
& North American Dog Agility Council agility competitions. He has
earned a variety of titles in each of these venues. He has also
participated in Freestyle competitions and has earned the Novice
Title in this sport.
As of January 1, 2009, Cuss has successfully sired 3 litters.
Several of his offspring are being show in a variety of conformation
& performance events. He is available at stud to approved bitches.
