Dog Day of Summer 2009

Once again this year, the Bella Vista Training Center was happy to host the York County Dog Training Club’s Dog Day of Summer on June 7, 2009.  The activities included freestyle demos, a teacup agility match, Canine Good Citizen Testing, an agility try it area, vendors for shopping, a dog first aide workshop and opportunities to obtain more information on local events and training opportunities. 

The YCDTC also had a booth called “Ask the Trainer”.  This allowed individuals to ask members about training problems.  Questions ranged from general training issues such as how to stop the dog from jumping up to more advanced behaviors such as how to get the dog to retrieve an item on demand.
